"And Enoch walked with God: and he was not, for God took him." Very little is said about Enoch yet he carries one of the greatest testimonies in the entire Bible.

Have you ever said something that in your mind sounded good but when you said it out loud, it wasn't received well. That may have been what David and the Israelites were going through when David asked what would be done about Goliath. When no one stepped up, the young man decided to handle it himself. How could he have that type of bravery? He understood the name of God: Jehovah-Milchama, the LORD of Battle. David knew within his heart, the LORD of Battle battles over me.

If you've ever used a tool in a way that it was not originally intended for, you know the frustration that can lead to. Driving a nail with the back of a screw driver is less than optimal! Sometimes, you can make this work but others, it can backfire in a big way. That's what Paul was warning his readers about in Galatians chapter three. The law cannot do what only faith was made to do.

In Christianity, the King became our Christ. Our Shepherd became our Savior. Though He could have defeated His enemies with a sword, He chose to be a sacrifice. Though He could have come as a Lion, when it came to our salvation, He chose to be a Lamb. This is what we learn from the name Jehovah-Pesah: The LORD of Passover became the Lamb of Passover.

Grace meets you where you are; faith moves you where you ought to be.

Too often we think of God by names that are not His: "Unforgiving," "Never Satisfied," "Always Looking for a Flaw," and more. But God has given us His names so that we can know Him. Today's message will focus on the name Yahweh, I AM THAT I AM. Though this name, we will be reminded: When i am not enough, He is still I AM.

If someone has ever broken a promise to you, you know how much that can hurt. But God's name, El Shaddai, reminds us of His Almighty, All-Sufficient power. Not only that but He focuses His power towards keeping His promise so that we can rest assured that every promise made will be a promise kept.
